Custom wedding gowns, couture alterations, and heirloom transformations in Clearwater. Twenty-five years of designer-led, in-house craftsmanship — created for one bride at a time.
For more than twenty-five years, SuZann Designs has dressed brides from a single, designer-led studio in Clearwater — where every gown begins on paper and is drafted, draped, and hand-finished in house. There is no production line here, no rack to choose from. There is one designer, one bride, and a pattern made for her alone.
Each commission is built from the body outward — a true couture patternmaking approach that treats the silhouette as architecture and the fabric as something to be sculpted, not simply sewn. The result is a gown that moves with you, holds its shape through the longest day, and looks made-for-you because it was.
"Structure, balance, movement, and exceptional fit — the four things a couture gown can never fake."
Custom wedding gowns, couture alterations, bespoke veils, and heirloom bridal transformations — each handled personally, in house.
A gown designed for you alone — from concept sketch and fabric selection through pattern, muslin, and final fitting.
Precision fit and true structural work — bodices rebuilt, necklines reshaped, and lengths corrected for a flawless line.
The same atelier-level tailoring brought to gala gowns, mother-of-the-bride dresses, and couture eveningwear.
Hand-finished veils made to your length, lace, and edge — the final, quietly perfect note of the look.
Our signature work: a mother's or grandmother's gown reimagined into something you'll truly wear — story intact.
An existing gown re-cut and restyled into a fresh silhouette — sustainable, sentimental, and entirely new.
The dress she wore down the aisle — now reimagined for yours. The most moving work we do begins with a gown that already holds a story: a mother's, a grandmother's, a sister's. Yellowed lace, dated sleeves, a silhouette from another decade — and a daughter who wants to carry it forward.
We carefully deconstruct, restore, and re-pattern that gown into something entirely your own — a modern silhouette that still whispers where it came from. The fabric that meant everything to her becomes the dress that means everything to you.
Every gown here was drafted, draped, and finished by hand — made for the one woman who wore it.
The process did take a while, but you can't rush perfection — and the pricing was amazing.
